Job Description/Skills Required

• Maintains an understanding of the financial, operational, and technology processes, risks and controls related to Moody’s business, specifically for the area under review. Assist in developing and maintaining an effective control environment that complies with the testing and reporting requirements of SOX 404 Assist in SOX lifecycle, including scoping, documentation, tests of design and effectiveness, reporting Validate operating effectiveness of SOX controls and delivering a quality work product, free of errors and on time.
• Performs detailed reviews of the tests/audits conducted by the team Proactively identify and monitor process and system changes, and other areas of change that have a direct impact on the company’s financial statements and related disclosures Support improvements relating to internal controls within accounting and finance, and/or corporate systems, and consult on internal controls during the implementation of new IT systems;
• Maintain the SOX repository of documentation, testing evidence, and internal policies, and provide summary status reporting and presentation to business units and management Performs a root cause analysis and impact assessment on the issues identified during course of testing/audit in accordance with a framework designed
• Demonstrates ability to outline facts around potential issues and discuss internally and with stakeholders.Assists in developing the why do we care for issues and collaborates with stakeholders and project team to develop meaningful recommendations for the audit projects. Develops and maintain good working relations with stakeholders and external auditors.
